Mary Anne Schimmelpenninck (née Galton, 25 November 1778 – 29 August 1856) was a British writer in the anti-slavery movement.
The eldest Daughter of Samuel "John" Galton and Lucy Barclay, Mary Anne Galton was the sister of Samuel Tertius Galton and the aunt of Francis Galton. She married Dutch tobacco merchant Lambert Schimmelpennick in 1806.
Her family considered her a "mischief-maker", with Francis Galton saying that she "broke off eleven marriages".
